Lend your voice to a reset button for people who have run out of options.
ESCAPE is recruiting a founding circle of people genuinely willing to associate themselves with suicide prevention. Not a photo-op. A role with clear boundaries, clinical review of every message, and reporting you can stand behind.
Sponsor a fresh start.
Donors fund specific services: a supported stay with travel covered, 90 days of aftercare with a named person, a practical-help plan. The people helped stay private. The stories we tell are about hope and what comes after, never about the crisis itself.
- $50
- Peer support and a follow-up call for one person
- $500
- Practical help: rent, paperwork, a job interview outfit
- $2,500
- Contributes to a screened, supported stay
- $10,000
- A stay plus the 90 days of support after it
Your voice helps fund the complete experience, not an app. Amounts are planning figures, not promises about any one person.
People get ESCAPE the moment they hear it.
What it needs is a front door people trust enough to walk through, and a network that opens the right rooms: philanthropists, corporate partners, qualified volunteers.
Reach that reduces stigma
ESCAPE is built to feel warm, hopeful and nothing like a hospital. Your audience hearing it from you is how it stops feeling like a service for other people.
Donors and matching gifts
Launch campaigns, match a round, and introduce philanthropic networks. Fundraising tied to concrete services gives your audience a clear picture of where their money goes.
Doors that open
Corporate partners who can sponsor beds, job placement, transport or equipment. Hospital and foundation introductions. Qualified volunteers for the Angel program.
What we would ask of you.
Pick one or several. Scope, timing and any compensation are agreed in writing before anything is announced.
- Launch or front a "Sponsor a fresh start" campaign
- Make or match a founding donation
- Introduce philanthropic and foundation networks
- Help secure corporate partnerships
- Help recruit qualified volunteers and professionals
- Appear in or help produce the concept trailer
We do not assume you work for free
Some founding-circle members may donate their time. Others may be compensated for specific work. Our financial plan does not depend on donated endorsements, so there is no awkward conversation to have.
You will never be asked to talk about your own mental health
Unless you choose to. The campaign works without personal disclosure. If you do want to share, our clinical team helps you do it safely.
Every message is clinically reviewed
Anything published with ESCAPE's name on it goes through safe-messaging review first. That protects the people who hear it, and it protects you.
Rules we will never bend, for anyone.
Talking about suicide in public can help people or hurt them, depending on how it is done. These commitments follow established safe-messaging practice and are written into every partnership.
We always
- Include a way to get help in every piece of content
- Tell stories of connection, recovery and what came next
- Describe suicide as preventable and help as effective
- Use plain, respectful language, never "committed" or "successful"
- Protect the identity and choices of every participant
- State clearly what ESCAPE is, and what it is not
We never
- Describe methods, locations or notes
- Sensationalize a crisis or present it as a solution to anything
- Suggest someone must relocate to survive, or that a retreat fixes a crisis
- Fundraise off a person's distress, or solicit a gift because of someone's suicidal state
- Let a donor pick, meet or learn about an individual being helped
- Claim a number of lives saved
Concept still · the trailer's closing moodSixty to ninety seconds. Aspirational and human.
Introduce the experience of being stuck. Then show the possibility of connection, meaningful support, nature, and a fresh start.
No graphic or sensationalized crisis scenes. No suggestion that anyone must relocate to survive, or that a retreat invariably resolves a crisis. We are looking for a director or production partner, and for voices and faces willing to appear.
From first conversation to first campaign.
Conversation
You or your team tell us what you care about and what you have capacity for.
Alignment check
We walk through the safe-messaging rules and the governance. If it isn't a fit, we say so.
Written agreement
Scope, timing, approvals, any compensation, and how your name may be used.
Campaign kit
Reviewed scripts, visuals, resource lines, and a clinician on call for questions.
Reporting
Aggregate results from the public impact dashboard, including limitations, so you always know what your name is attached to.
Straight answers.
Is ESCAPE a crisis line?
No. It is a planned nonprofit that connects people to human support, licensed care through partners, safer places, and practical help rebuilding. Urgent needs are routed to contracted crisis services. Every piece of content points to 988 in the US and to local help elsewhere.
Is it religious or political?
No. ESCAPE is nonsectarian and nonpartisan. Identity-affirming support is a design principle, and the clinical committee, not a campaign, decides program rules.
Can my foundation fund a specific person?
No. Donors sponsor a category such as housing stabilization or employment support. The charity selects beneficiaries independently under a written assistance policy. This protects the people being helped, and it protects the charity's tax status.
Will you share stories of people you helped?
Only with consent, only after the crisis, only about recovery, and never in a way that identifies someone who did not choose to be identified. We will not produce content that sensationalizes suicide.
What if something goes wrong?
Incidents are reviewed by the Clinical and Safety Committee and reported honestly on the impact dashboard. You will hear from us first, not from the press.
Is ESCAPE live?
Not yet. The first supported stays are being set up now with partners, planned for 2027. Founding-circle members join before launch, which is the point.
Join the founding circle.
A short note is enough. We will reply with the campaign concept, the safe-messaging rules in full, and a draft of how the relationship would work.
